711CEF54-3DEC-4FEA-87A3-72FA0DF2E797Welcome to my site and thank you for taking the time to look and read my profile.

I am a person centred counsellor with over 16 years experience of working with adults. I feel the relationship with clients is of paramount importance and will spend time in our sessions getting to know what you want and need from counselling.

Counselling is giving a person time to be able to talk about what is going on for them. It helps you to look at issues which may be causing emotional distress or uncomfortable feelings and being able to talk openly about what you are experiencing makes a positive difference to your emotional wellbeing.

We all have times when we need extra support . I work with what you bring and counselling is not me telling you what to do, we will explore together what very may work for you and to look at the way forward.

With the uncertainty at the moment in the world, people may feel they need more support than ever. We are unable to do face to face sessions however I can offer appointments over the telephone or via ZOOM. We can discuss this further in your assessment if required.

The type of issues clients bring to counselling are:

  • low mood and depression
  • anxiety
  • relationship issues
  • low self-esteem
  • assertiveness
  • trauma
  • abuse
  • stress
  • life events
  • life transitions

This is not an exhaustive list.

I am trained in EMDR (eye movement desensitisation and re-processing) which is very effective when working with trauma. Please see the link on my qualifications and training page which has a short viral re how EMDR works.

Please refer to my contact page if you would like to get in contact or you can call me for an informal chat on 07779652398. I aim to return your call within 24 hours unless my message states that I am on holiday.
